Malsha, Senal, Hirunika, Lansa not going to Nugegoda

Malsha, Senal, Hirunika, Lansa not going to Nugegoda to support Mahinda win?

A group of 40 Sandana parliament members of the Western provincial council are to go to Nugegoda tomorrow (18) to join the political rally 'Mahinda dinaweema' while another group of Sandana
parliament members who got the invitations however took steps to boycott participation on the occasion.

Though all parliament members who represented the provincial council of the government had received the invitations, it was reported that a group of Ministers of the provinces inclusive of Nimal Lansa, Gamini Thilakasiri, Malsha Cumaratunga, Hirunika Premachandra and Senal Welgama had not been present. As such it is understood that they would not be participating in the rally. The group of about 40 members of parliament of the government Party had engaged in a discussion at the Chief Ministers' office at length over the Nugegoda rally and what Chief Minister Mr. Prasanna Ranatunga said on that occasion was that though the Party had taken a decision not to participate at the rally any parliamentary member has the opportunity of doing what his or her conscience says.

About 40 members of the government Party have decided to attend the rally and finally they had come to a conclusion that it was feasible that they participate at the Nugegoda rally. Since Hirunika already represents the Maithree faction, her attendance cannot be expected on this occasion and since Malsha and Senal were on the fence when the government was about to topple, by now they have, it could be presumed have turned towards the Maithree faction. In media discussions that took place sometime back, on the other hand Nimal Lansa had spoken by appreciating Maithree.
