Mahinda makes vow this morning by offering gold trident!

Assumed to be coming into politics!

It is reported that former President Mahinda Rajapaksha had gone to Kataragama Maha Devala

at the auspicious time of 8.12 this morning and had made a vow to step into politics.  He had made this vow by tieing a silver offering to a gold trident 6 inches tall. People who are aware about this procedure say that according to legend, before approaching the battlefield King Dutugemunu also had made an offering of this nature. Sources close to him say that the former President has done this with the objective of stepping into politics once again. Mahinda had gone to Kataragama yesterday and he has also attended a 'Hara dahase pinkama' and a 'sarva rathrika parithrana dharma' sermon at Kiri Vehera.
