Wimal Weeravansha's wife who was taken into custody by the police last night is still under police

protection at Malabe Neville Fernando Hospital and the police are in touch with the courts being unable to secure a statement from her.

In the process, Wimal Weeravansha had gone to the CID this morning to give a statement regarding a complaint made by Kaduwela Buddhadasa in the year 2011 and later came to the hospital in Malabe escorting his children with the idea of seeing to his wife's condition.

On this instance he criticized the government by addressing the media saying that this government has given a place to Black Tigers and that people such as himself and his family members who dedicated himself to Mahinda who stood against the war has now have had to go to jail. He has tried to display the 'war' in this instance too to the masses and has tried to build up an argument on those grounds.

Whatever it is, what Wimal Weerawansha said 8 days before this in Nugegoda was that he is waiting till his wife is taken away and is anxiously waiting to hand her over.
