Karuna Amman has come for Mathree's support.

The Maithree faction is in want of support of maximum strength in order to acquire a greater power for the purpose of passing the Acts in
parliament to launch the 100 Day Programme.

As the 'salon' door is open for that purpose, already even those who are targeted with numerous complaints too keep streaming into the Maithree faction. As reported today, Karuna Amman, former Tiger chief and deputy Chairman of the SLFP who was subjected to accusation by the Maithree faction during the past election too has expressed his support to Maithree. Though the others have rejected his arrival in this connection ... the'salon' door is still not closed to him.

Apart from this, names of those such as Sanath Jayasuriya, Thilanga Sumathipala, Manusha Nanayakkara, Felix Perera, Lalith Dissanayaka, W.B.Ekanayaka, Naeomal Perera, Dayashithra Tissera, Victor Anthony, A.R.M. Abdul Cader, Sajith Vaas Goonawardena, Udith Lokubandara and Anura Vidanagamage too give their support to the Maithree faction.

According to the open invitation extended by President Maithreepala at the meeting held yesterday in Kandy welcoming those from all parties into a national government; the above-mentioned politicians have rocked in; and apparently because the Maithree group want to pass the Acts in parliament with their support, it has not been made clear whether the allegations made against some of the above-named would be inquired into in the very near future.
