Minister post to Dayasiri?
Dayasiri Jayasekera, Chief Minister of North West who extended support to President Maithreepala by participating at one of the two sittings of the SLFP Central Executive Committee held this evening, explained this difference.

When questioned about this 'jump' of his, what he says is that he had made this change after being convinced about the benevolent rule and future development activity of the country and explained that he had not left the SLFP at this juncture.
