Ranil and Sajith will unite because of JR.

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa are scheduled to meet on the same platform tomorrow (17th). Both the leader of the United National Party and the leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya will gather at a single main venue, joining as chief guests for a special expert discussion.

This meeting is being held for the conversational program titled "J.R. Governance and the Middle Path," which is being organized for the first time by the D. S. Senanayake Political Faculty Alumni Association (DSSPA Alumni Club). This expert discussion, which will take place at the National Library and Documentation Services Board Auditorium in Colombo 07, is scheduled to begin tomorrow at 2:00 PM.

Several prominent senior leaders, representing both political streams, the United National Party and the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, are also expected to participate in this event.

This discussion is taking place amidst reports of a clear rift between Ranil and Sajith, which was evident at the recently held UNP anniversary. Sajith Premadasa did not attend the UNP anniversary. Although the UNP informed the media that Ranil Wickremesinghe personally called Sajith Premadasa and invited him to 'Sirikotha', he refrained from attending.
