An year and four months old child ... drowns inside plastic bucket in house!
News is received of a sorrowful incident from Galewala, Katuwalanda village of an year and four month old toddler embracing death after falling into a plastic bucket full of water.
The toddler who faced this misfortune around 10 in the morning yesterday (5) had been playing in the hall of his house.The grandmother had washed clothes after having filled water to a somewhat high plastic bucket. As she had developed a headache while washing the clothes, she had retired into the house while leaving the said bucket outside. During that time the mother of the toddler had been in the kitchen while two others inside the house had been engaged in some activity inside the house.
Having noticed in a short while that the child who was in the hall in the house was not to be seen, on inquiring about it, it was observed that the child had fallen into the plastic bucket full of water, face downwards and had drowned with the body floating on the water.
It was noticed that the child's head had got stuck, immersed in the bucket filled with water and therefore the child had got suffocated. Since the child was motionless, the householders had yelled out and with the support of the neighbours admitted the toddler to Galewala District Hospital. But hospital sources say that it was found that the toddler had already passed away.
The deceased is a toddler of one year and four months old by the name of I.M. Ahamed.
