*Hello! This is from Gossip Lanka .... what is this talk about you giving a manioc dansela?
 Yes aney .... my birthday fell on Wesak Day May 15th. So I thought of giving a dansela on that day. we also did a pinkama and we also gave a Kiri Amma dana. In any way I don't take a big party for the birthday. I gave a dansela for those who go to see Wesak. Those who came home to wish me.... I gave them a white-coloured band as a souvenir.

*Lochana .... you seem to be bent on involving yourself in meritorious work.
 That's all aney what will be ultimately left. I always spend my time in fun and with a smile. Even on that day there's no rule that I should spend in entertainment .... what I think is to do something that brings happiness to my heart.

*Is it true that these days your home-people are looking for a marriage partner for you?
 There's some talk like that also. true .... true, whatever we have .... there's no use.Horoscopes should match perfectly no. Our home people compare the horoscope 100 to 100%. Still it didn't come right. If I get someone like that .... I'll marry.

Navaratna Gamage has given life to Panamure tusker

Acclaimed musician Navaratna Gamage it is understood is preparing to conduct an experimental symphony these days. We spoke to him to ask him about it.

*Hello! .... this is from Gossip Lanka .... what is this experimental symphony?
 We are doing an experimental symphony called Panamure Kunchanada.This is the result of a research process conducted over a period of time woven around the plot regarding the story of the Panamure Tusker which was killed in the Embilipitiya kraal around 1950. My friends helped me a lot. I got together a crowd of about 200 for this.

*About how much were the expenses?
 Really speaking .... the expenses had to be borne by us. friends who were with me always helped me a lot. It was Panamure Kunchanada Foundation who gave the greatest support to me. I should make mention of Manubandhu and Saman Ratnayaka also.

*It means that this was done as a result of desire and zeal .... is it?
 I must say this specially .... I don't want to get awards.I have received all the awards I have to get in my life. This is a creation I have done for the 'madness' I had. What I wanted was to do something that really touched my heart .... before I die .... without just idling.

*Then when will the symphony be shown?
 The opening show will be in the evening at 6 on May 30th at Nelum Pokuna. This is a task that should be taken to the wilderness .... but Nelum Pokuna was sufficient for me where my creation was concerned. Our objective is to give life to the dead King of Elephants and send him to the forest itself.

Dhananjaya's Swiss tour

Popular actor Dhananjaya Siriwardena went overseas for the shooting of a teledrama. That was to Switzerland. Dhananjaya arrived in Sri Lanka after the tour a short period before his birthday. For the birthday too he gave an almsgiving.

*Hello! .... this is from Gossip Lanka .... Dhananjaya, how is the tour?
 Good .... good. Switzerland is a lovely country. Actually we went for shooting of Sena Amarasingha's Guvan Palama drama.We stayed for about and half months.

*You had an idea of residing abroad after the wedding. Now what is your idea?
  It's like this .... my wife Sashini has thought a great deal about me. Thinking of my loving fans a lot .... I came to a decision .... not to desert my fans in the future. Just like me, she also respects every one of them.

*Wasn't your birthday on the 20th .... yesterday? You are supposed to have given an almsgiving.
  Yes .... to a group of children who have lost their parents. Sashini also put in a lot of effort for that work. Sashini gave me a lot of gifts to be given to those helpless children. That of course was done just a few days before the birthday .... because Sashini had to go abroad for her job the day before my birthday.
