The deceased is 19 year old Sanduni Nisansala, a young married girl. About a month ago she had got married to a young man in Baragama area in Ambalantota and had
gone into occupation there. Mr. Kasun, husband of the deceased girl said that on the night of the 26th of this month, the two of them had been involved in an argument after which she had left the husband's house and had tried to go to hr mother's house.
Subsequently he had taken steps to drop his wife at her mother's house when he found that his wife was not to be seen in the house and he had informed his wife's mother about this. As there was no sign of her in the house, he had lodged a complaint with Ambalantota police at about 11 on the night of the 26th regarding this. The mother of the deceased said that there were 3 sisters and 3 brothers in the family of the deceased and that she was the third child in the family.
