What Sri Lanka got from second Mahindagamanaya was ....Heroin and Ethanol!
Though Ceylon got Buddhism from the first Mahindagamanaya, from the second Mahindagamanaya Sri Lanka got Heroin and Ethanol! Opposition leader Ranil Wickremasingha explained at a meeting held in Maharagama recently.
"We got the Sutta Pitakaya, the Vinaya Pitakaya, and the Abhidhamma Pitakaya from the first Mahindagamanaya .... but what we get from the second Mahindagamanaya is Heroin,
Ethanol and Casino. They ask us whether there aren't casinos in foreign countries. What I ask is who in another government in another country is doing casinos? It is the Rajapaksha regime that is directing casino! They hit right to the brain and when someone injects heroin ... the mind gets blown off. Then after that .... there's no use of the Buddha's dhamma in any sort. When the mind is destroyed .... there's no human being left. Now ... it's against that that we have come here. If the government vis prepared to stop .... we're ready to give support".
