Hirunika bows to President and obtains permission (video)Miss Hirunika Premachandra, daughter of parliamentarian Late Mr. Bharatha Lakshman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party took oaths today (Jan 14) in the presence of the Hon. President as the organiser of the SLFP for Colombo Central district.
On accepting the relevant appointment letter from the hands of the President Mahinda Rajapaksha Hirunika read out the contents of the document and did not forget to bow down with respect to the President.
It is understood that she is to contest the forthcoming Western Province provincial council elections on the SLFP ticket.
