Sandaru placed First in grade 5 Scholarship exam

Second position to 3 students ..Third position to 5 students

     Student Sandaru Sathsara Balaheva of Mahinda College, Galle was placed  First in Galle District as well as in the island by taking 198 marks at the scholarship exam held this year. Sandaru's mother Kumudini Wickramasuriya is an Engineer attached to the Road Development Authority of South and his father Mr. Harris Kumara Balaheva is a Manager of the Salt Institute. Sandaru has 2 elder sisters too. 
    
     Sandaru expressed his ideas to the media saying that in the future he hopes to become surgeon.

     There are 3 students who have achieved the 2nd position by obtaining 196 marks. They are, Mallawaarachchi Kavindya Gimhani Mallawaarachchi of Godagama Subharathi Mahamathya Maha Vidyalaya, Munasingha Kumarage Jinali Vidulanka Munasingha of Kegalle and Ganewaththage Don Heshan Chanuka Dharmaratna of Belihuloya, Kargasthalawa Vidyalaya have achieved 2nd position by securing 196 marks.

     Those who attained 3rd position by securing 195 marks are Godigamuwe Thamindu Swarna de Silva of Ambalangoda Dharmasoka Vidyalaya, Peduruhewa Kankanamge Shenuka Dulanjana Ariyaprema of Ambalangoda Primary School, Gamage Nuransi Ronen Gamage  of Opanayaka Vidyakara Primary School, Marasingha Aarachchilage Isuru Kelum Kumara of Kuliyapitiya Aswedduma Subharathi and Wijesinghaarachchilage Sajini Sadisna Menike Wijesingha of Kuliyapitiya Vishaka Balika Vidyalaya.

     22,455 schoolchildren have sat for the scholarship examination this year.
