Action filed against senior Minister Athauda ...that he had destroyed water project
A number of people inclusive of senior Minister Athauda Seneviratna were filed action against at Warakapola courts today. The reason for this is damaging a drinking water project in Kohombadeniya area in Warakapola
Action was filed to the effect that the Minister and his supporters had done damage to the tune of 10 lakhs and that they are accused on 4 counts.
As such, the Warakapola police filed action on the Attorney-General's instructions against senior Minister Athauda Seneviratna and 19 accused at the Chief Magistrate's court Warakapola. Lawyers forwarded medical reports to the effect that the Minister was not in a position to attend court due to being indisposed.
The Magistrate decided to call the case on June 5th in order to read the complaint and ordered that the accused inclusive of the Minister to be present on that day.
