Use the Yellow Flag

     The Department of Buddhist Affairs request the public to use a Yellow-coloured Flag to motivate the public, instead of the Buddhist Flag.

     Commissioner for Buddhist Affairs, Mr.Chandraprema Gamage requests the public to inform the chief incumbents and the Grama Sevakas of the area when dansel are to be held in view of the Wesak festival and to conduct such activities according to their instructions and also to refrain from playing music of a disturbing nature; also not to display any programmes that could bring fright or distortion to the mind.

     He further mentions that information has being received that various institutions, organisations and individuals are collecting money in the pretence of doing so for Wesak Poya and that certain dansel are to be held in a manner that it disgraces Buddhism apart from hindering the public.
