Casino King comes to Sri Lanka with Crown Colombo Casino Complex                                                   

  James Packer, considered to be a No.1 casino gambler is reported to be in Sri Lanka next Wednesday the 27th. Packer who is noted to be the owner of 'Crown' which is supposed to be one of the largest networks in the world will be arriving in Sri Lanka to get a final judgment on establishing a casino on a very large scale in this country.

     Packer who has bought over the large space of vacant land area in front of the Lake House building in Colombo allocated for parking space is making plans to build a massive casino complex and a hotel with night club facilities for entertainment.

    He has plans of completing work on the project by the year 2016.

   As a result of the Act relating to casino business was approved and relaxed, it has now been approved on the basis of developing such for growth of  the tourist industry it has been easy for James Packer to establish his business here and to make Sri Lanka a gambling headquarters.

   46 year old James Packer is an Australian national who has 4.5 billion American dollars of personal assets to his credit and according to the Forbes Magazine, he is the fourth of the richest people in that country. He has massive gambling complexes in Melbourne and Perth. He has also entered the gambling arena of Las Vegas in America. Packer has decided to establish a gambling centre in Sri Lanka because he has thought that Sri Lanka is an easy hub to get hold of the Asian and Middle East market
