NETHERLAND NATIONAL FINED FOR ENGRAVING AN OFFENSIVE TATTOO ON HER BODY

The Netherland lady who had Buddha’s Tattoos engraved on her back arrested in Kandy

For disgracing Lord Buddha by engraving a tattoo of Lord Buddha prominently on her back, a lady of Netherland National was arrested by the Kandy Police. The mobile unit of the Kandy Police on a tip off had been able to arrest this lady.
She had been caught and arrested while she was dining in a popular hotel in Kandy. This tattoo of Lord Buddha was seen through a loose jacket which she had been wearing at that time.
She is Pitina Irain Bronko a 26 year old woman when questioned she had confessed that she had got the tattoo engraved in Netherlands and that she was unaware that this would in anyway bring disgrace to Sri Lanka’s Buddhist culture .She had come to Kandy with her husband with the intention of worshipping the ‘Dalada Maligawa’.
After her confession the Police had warned her and released her after fine of a sum of Rs 1000/-
