ACID ATTACK ON AYURVEDA COMMISSIONER-SUSPECTS REVEALED

The culprits who threw Acid on the Ayurvdea Commissioner of North Central –Nabbed

One rival Auyurveda doctor had masterminded the attack through  a Fish monger and an army soldier

Two persons , one an army soldier and the other a fish monger along with a rival Ayurveda doctor had been arrested on suspicion on the case of the acid attack on the North Central Ayurveda Commissioner Udaya Kumar Chandrakumar Alwis .these three persons have been arrested as suspect as a result of the investigations. The two had been given the contract for a personal grouse an Ayurvedic doctor has had with the North Central Ayurveda Commissioner. They had confessed during the investigations.
The person who had given the contract had been eyeing to take the seat of the North Central Ayurveda Commissioner. One other suspect is an army soldier while other suspect a fish monger from Nittambuwa the Police had revealed. The army soldier had been servicing in the Mattakuliya army camp had been a close associate if the Ayurveda Commissioner. The request of the  former the first had been to threaten him and assault him.
The army soldier had come from Mattakkuliya to Nittambuwa to met him, had hired a car from Kirillawela area and hired a motor cycle ad purchased a bottle of acid from there itself, had come to the official residence of the commissioner. He had not been there at that time. He had given some excuse and come early morning for the proposed operation. The suspected Ayurvedic physician had confessed that the Commissioner had done a lot of harm to him.
According to the suspect the most suitable person for this post was he. But he had taken political advantage had occupied the seat. It is learnt that the suspect had worked as the acting Commissioner for a period of 8 years. As a result his career had been ruined and he had to be stagnated at one position. The commissioner had givem a lot of transfers using political powers. The suspect had only told him to threaten and make to live in fear.
He had come to Colombo to do his post graduate degree.He had reported daily to the Navinna Ayurvedic hospital. For the contract the army soldier had been offered a sum of Rs 25000/- After the attack he had dropped his friend at Nittambuwa and returned to Minneriya. At Minneriya at the suspect’s house they had net and discussed the story of the acid throwing incident. The Police immediately suspected a Spa herbal clinic at Anuradhapura which runs on the pretext of a Spa but is engaged in prostitution. It was because the Commissioner had aimed a lot of allegations about the SPA’s where illegal activities had been taking place.
But later the real story they had been able to unfold. The suspects are to be produced before the courts. As a result of this attack the Commissioner had had lost one eye and doctors are making attempts to save his other eye.
