SAKVITHI RANASINGHE JAILED FOR MULTIPLE MARRIAGES

The person Sakvithi Ranasinghe who was charged for financial frauds had been jailed for having proved to have had multiple marriages:

He had made Kumari ,a 14 years old who came for group classes pregnant:
Sakviti Ranasinghe was jailed for misappropriating large sums of money from several people was sentenced to two years rigorous imprisonment when he was proved guilty of having had multiple marriages. When this case was taken up for hearing Sakvithi Ranasinghe admitted that he has had sex relationships with a student girl in a group class who was a minor in the age of just 14 years. He had admitted that his present wife was a minor at the time and he had not separated from his legal wife.

It is reported that Sakvithi Ranasinghe was initially legally married to one lady from Wellampitiya area, Subashini de Silva Ariyaratna. He had got married to her before he was just a tuition master not so famous. He had confessed to courts when he became popular he had conducted several tuition group classes in English at separate venues.
In one of her classes there was a 14 year old girl Kumari  Anuradini , one who attended his classes and she was attracted to him he had confessed and had commenced a love affair which had ended in sex relationships. She had become pregnant while still a minor, hence he could not marry her. At that time he had left her legal wife and had lived with Kumari. Later on when she became a major he had very secretly had got married to her without getting a divorce from his earlier wife. This was disclosed by the plaintiff at courts hearing.
After his second illegal marriage he had become a millionaire and has had two children from Kumari Anuradhini.  When Sakwithi Ranasinghe was searched for his massive financial frauds he was caught while living with Kumari Anuradhini. Today when the case was heard, he admitted marrying Kumari Anuradhini illegally. He was fined a sum of Rs 25,000/- and was sentenced to two years rigorous imprisonment.
