THREE WHEELER-TRAIN ACCIDENT AT LEVEL CROSSING AT AMBANPOLA

Six out of seven people who travelled in a Three wheeler killed:

Today (28) morning a tragic accident was reported from Mahawa
Ambanpola,Kirimetiyana junction level crossing when a train bound to Omanthe from Colombo collided with a three wheeler carrying an unauthorised number of passengers had collided.
This had occurred at 9.10 a.m on the 28th morning where seven passengers had travelled in a three wheeler. In this tragic accident six members of one family had been killed while another who sustained some minor injuries has been admitted to the Kurunegala Hospital. for treatment. Among the dead have been four females and two males.
Those killed are Ambakolawewa W Udaya Asiri Wijekoon (38) ,his wife I.B.M.Tamara Rohini, daughters Upeksha (16) and son Nisal (5)., two were admitted to hospital. The pictures of this tragic incident are shown below:
