The popular artiste Ranjith Amarasekara has passed awayThe popular artiste Ranjith Amarasekara has passed away yesterday. He had contributed in his field to numerous Tele dramas and films and had also appeared in a number of popular TV commercials.
He also had been an Executive Director for many ‘Sirasa’ programmes. He was also a competent translator at the Parliament and it is reported that he is a retired officer at the Sri Lanka Telecommunication Department
His remains are now lying to pay him the last respects at his residence in Talahena. The funereal is scheduled to take place at the Talahena Public Cemetery tomorrow ( 8th) at 4 p.m.
He became very popular in the Lanka Bell’ Stella’, TV commercial .The video of which could be viewed from BELOW:
