BEAUTICIAN FOUND DEAD IN BANDARAGAMA

The beautician’s dead body was found hanging from the rafter of the roof, while the house was locked:
Was it a murder or she had committed suicide?

The body of a popular beautician living in Bandaragama area was found dead hanging from the rafter of the roof while the door of the house was locked from inside. This incident is reported from a resident along Raigama, Namalu Road in Bandaragama.
The deceased is a beautician by name Nissansala Upamali. Her husband had been employed in the Polonnaruwa area and had been mostly living there. It is learnt that she had sent a ‘SMS’ to her husband on the 3rd informing that she is going abroad. One of her sisters had come to see her and had gone back as the house was locked. She had then taken a number of mobile calls to the beautician sister and her husband. There had been no answer from both parties.
The husband of the deceased had come on the 5th to his residence at Bandaragama.  As the door was locked he had forced opened the door and gone into the house. He had then seen the body of his wife hanging on a rafter of the roof of the house. Her mobile phone was found beneath her body and two letters written to the husband and her child were found. It is confusing whether she was murdered or she had committed suicide.
It is learnt that her relationship with her husband had been not at all a close relationship. The Police are suspecting whether she had been having an illicit love affair with another person.
The Bandaragama Police is conducting investigations into this death.
