MALANI FONSEKA’S HOME RENTAL CASE

Court summons Malani Fonseka for not paying the rental

Colombo Magistrate Courts have served summons on the famous actress and parliamentarian Malani Fonseka for not paying the rental of a flat for two years. `It is said that she has rented a flat in the third floor at the Ocean Tower close to Majestic City at Bamabalapitiya in 2006. She has extended the lease for another two years up to 2008 and somehow she has not paid the rent and the rent has now exceeded over Rupees five lacks and eighty thousand rupees.
Even though the relevant parties have tried contacting her they have failed and thus the owner of the building Jagath Kumara Perera has filed a case against her at the Colombo Magistrate Courts.
Accordingly, Malani Fonseka has been summoned to courts to be present on the 28th of January 2013.
