CATCH THE CORRECT ROBBER

Dr Ven.Omalpe Sobitha Thera had told instead of relating fabricated stories of “Kangetta”, the ‘one man showman’ who is now in Police custody, find the correct robber the Thera had boldly said.
Dr Ven.Omalpe Sobitha Thera has made a statement to media in his manner;
“From the moment the robbery took place what was noticed clearly is that the Police took a very lethargic stand. As citizens in this country all felt a deep concern about the robbery where very valuable ancient archaeological articles of huge value, that need to be preserved were robbed. These article robbed cannot be even valued. This is a massive calamity for our country. Yet the behaviour of the Police in this regard is questionable?
What the Police relate about the story of “Kangetta” even a small child would not believe. The Directors of the museum were unaware that on that particular day the CCTV cameras were not functioning. Did the suspect robber made the CCTV cameras defective? How did he escape from the security? Did the watchers allow him to escape?.  Is it really a “ONE MAN SHOW”?. These questions are in the minds of the people in this country. The manner he had related the story brings harmful effects to the security of the country. It is the normal practice for us to complaint to the Police after a theft or robbery. When such a robbery of a huge loss is reported the Police should take the initiative to track down the culprits very quickly. As citizens of the country we always seek redress from the Police. When such lethargic attitude, the Police takes the people lose the confidence of the Police. It becomes a disastrous feeling to the people.
The people  in the country expects the Police to be more efficient and to take appropriate action swiftly. The case has to be handled better by questioning the security personnel, watchers and the members of the staff of the Museum. I reiterate that Police need to find the real robbers of this massive theft.”
