Youth who came to sit for the Korean language test had been drowned in the Bambalapitiya Sea
He has told that he hasn’t bathed in the sea; he was very keen on bathing in the sea
It was reported that a youth who had resided in Katugastota had come to sit for Korean language test had got drowned in the Bamabalapitiya Sea in his attempt to fulfill an ambition in having a bath in the sea with his friends.
21 year old youth had told his friends that he had never taken bath in the sea and he loves to take a bath. It has been revealed that this youth had not known the danger in bathing in the sea since he had been residing in the Central Province.
Shirantha Chandrakantha has been a resident of Katugastota, Haloluwa, Bogahakanda area who had been 21 years old and he had been planning g to migrate to Korea for a job. He had come to Colombo with a lot of hopes to sit for the exam and to spend some time leisurely in Colombo.
With the hope of enjoying himself he had gone to Bamabalapitiya beach with his friends. It was reported that he had gone too far in to the sea without listening to his friends and he had got caught in a strong wave. Even though, the friends have tried to save him, another huge wave taken his life and had been washed ashore. He had been carried to the beach and given first aid treatment.
He had been unconscious as a lot of sea water had filled into his lungs. Even though they have tried giving him first aid, it has not done any good at all. It was reported that he has been dead by the time when he was taken to the hospital.
Bambalapitiya Police is carrying out investigations on this case.
