MERVIN’S CO-ORDINATING SECRETARY’S BROTHEL RAIDED

The owner of the brothel at Wellawatta is Mervin Silva’s Co-ordinating Secretary

 Anti Corruption and Bribery Unit in Walana, Panadura  had raided a brothel at Wellwatta on last Friday(the day Malaka Silva was arrested) is said to be owned by Mervin Silva’s  co-ordinating Secretary.
This operation had been done at a two storey building along Galle road at premises No 577. There had been a gymnasium on the ground floor and a spa on the first floor. The brothel has been run in the rooms on the first floor.
A Police officer dressed and disguised as a customer as a civilian has raided the place.
It was reported that the entrance ticket had been Rs.1000/- and prostitutes had been in sale starting from a minimum of Rs.6000/- , then upwards. There had been 5 prostitutes inside while it had been raided and it has been also reported that one had been a pregnant woman They had been between ages of 21 years to 35 years.
Along with the prostitutes a Manager and two other assistants had been arrested.The owner who is said to be the co-ordinating Secretary of Minister Mervin Silva who had not been there. It is reported that he has disappeared from his residence as well.
It was said that the spa did not have any goods, oils or any type of equipments related to Ayurveda.
It was also reported that this place had been run for about 16 years with the help and knowledge of the Police officers and prominent politicians.
The 5 girls, the Manager and the two assistants have been taken before Aluthkade Courts and they have been remanded until the 25th. Police investigations are being carried out to catch the owner who is absconding.
