MALAKA SILVA SURRENDERED

Mervin has told that he had shown the transparency of the Government party by letting his son surrender to the police

Malaka’s girl friend too had visited him

Malaka Silva has surrendered to the Slave Island Police station with a group of 7 people in the morning. They have been taken before the Colombo Magistrate Courts.
Many supporters have gathered around the courts and his father Mervin Silva and his girl friend too has been among them. Major’s statement was heard today and it was decided that the case will be heard again.
Courts have ordered the police to carry an investigation on the case and to provide a report on it as the two parties have been stating contradicting statements. One party has stated that this incident took place at JAIC Hilton hotel lobby and the other had mentioned that it happened at the car park.
The case will be heard on the next 24th and until that all seven who are involved in this case had been ordered to be remanded.
Minister, Mervin Silva has made a statement to the media that he had shown the transparency of the party by letting his son surrender to the police.
