Several stories of the 21 year old girl who killed the lecherous Lawyer are revealed:
She too has been married before:

Recently we heard the story of a 21 year old young wife killing her 68 year old lecherous husband who was a lawyer by tying him at their bed room with a chain and stuffing his mouth with clothes and closing with a plaster, in their residence at Hokandara.
The Police have been able to reveal extensively more facts about her. She who had been living in Poddala in Galle had been 21 years old. Her father had been a three wheeler driver. She has studied in one of the leading schools in Galle and she has one elder sister and a younger brother. She had been having many relationships while she was schooling also. Her boyfriend while she has been schooling had been planning to go abroad.
After leaving school, she had been gone to Sea Schell’s islands with his boy friend with the intention of starting a new life with him. They had gone abroad without getting married. She had been caught red handed with her illicit relationships and her boyfriend had brought her back to Sri Lanka.
Afterwards, her mother had been interested in giving her in marriage to someone with means. Then, they have published a marriage proposal in a newspaper and through that a retired Lieutenant in the army has made her a proposal. He had been much older to her and he had been retired and had been working in the private sector as a security officer in Colombo.
It was said that the mother had forced this marriage because he had been wealthy and he had owned many assets in Kadawatha even though he had been a bit older to her. Accordingly they have held a small function and got married. Even though the marriage was done, due to the busy schedule of work the Lieutenant, he had only occasionally visited his wife in Poddala.
Her mother had realized that this marriage is useless. The mother had published another proposal for her daughter while keeping it as a secret from her son-in-law and her husband. This is how they have met the 68 year old Wilson Jayawardana who had been a wealthy lawyer.
He had mentioned in letter that he is 44 years old and that he owns a lot of property. He had written in point form about the assets he owns and that his properties are worth of millions will also be owned by the person whom he will be married to. Due to her mother’s endless entreaty, she had once gone to visit the lawyer. On that day, she has felt that he looks much older than 44 years old.
“Amma, he looks really old, shall we look for another proposal…” Even though, the daughter had been requesting the mother not to do this, the mother had been stable on her decision.
The mother had told her: “What’s the big deal about him been old? He is a lawyer. He has millions of money. No young man can earn like that. Give your consent for your own good.”
The daughter had given her consent and she has got agreed to get married to the lawyer. Neglecting the law regarding her marriage with the Lieutenant, she had got married to the lawyer on the 30th of June. Her father too has been unaware of it and this has been happened in Weligama.
The mother and the daughter had agreed not to tell the lawyer about her first marriage and the lawyer too had not told them about his first marriage or about his two sons. The lawyer had gone to live in Hokandara after their marriage. Even though their marriage had been born with lies, they have revealed all the lied in their first night together. Yet, it is said that the lawyer had been worried to hear that she was not a virgin. His wife told that he had been scolding her for that and he had been worried about it.
She has stated that she had undergone a lot of harassments during the two months between their marriage and his death. He had been suspecting her all the time and there had been a lot of fights between them. She has also said that he had been addicted to watching blue films and he had been forcing her to join him in sexual activities which had been abnormal according to her.
“He used to tie me using chains and plaster my mouths… He used to lay me on the balcony floor and harass me… When I was unable to bear them, I asked him whether he would like to be tied… Then I tied him and plastered his mouth... Then I went down to find the hammer and hit him till he was dead. Then I dragged him down the stairs to the garden. First I thought of putting him into the car so that I can throw the body somewhere. Then I couldn’t carry him so since I was scared I called the police. I washed myself dressed in a new frock and removed all the blood stains and then called the Police.”
The police who have carried out investigations on this case had been able to find about 20 DVDs of blue films and some chains which had been used to tie her. At the same time, they have been able to find out some adult video clips from the 21 year old girl’s phone.
Her husband from her first marriage had got to know about her second marriage after this murder case. Her mother had kept it a secret from her father and told him that she is working in Colombo. The next trial will be heard on the 21st of this month.
