SUNIL SPEAKS ABOUT “KADE YAAMA”

Only those artistes who are helpless do ‘Kade” as they have nothing else to do

The wonder about this is that this exercise  is practiced mainly by the so called ‘senior’ artistes!

Sunil Perera, the leader of the famous music group ‘Gypsies’ is a very straight forward person who is not scared to say the truth. He is also one person who will criticise anybody without the slightest fear. He had been interviewed by the ‘Ada’ newspaper where he had emphasised about those artistes’  ‘kade yaama’ to the Government.

“I feel they are very innocent and helpless and it may be the reason that they do ‘Kade Yaama’ for the Government, constantly at all times. I have no necessity for that. I sympathise with them. They all had been known as ‘seniors’ in the field. Anyhow I do not see anything imminent in them.”

Although born a Christian had spoken during the interview, a lot about Buddhist precepts and practices. Although Lord Buddha had preached to give alms several nowadays do the opposite by swindling the songs of veteran established singers. He had also stressed and emphasised that owing to sheer selfishness of people the country in going backwards. Many people according to him dislike the country and hence are trying ways and means of getting out of the country.
