KEUNEMEN STATUE AND FOWZIE’S ANGER:

Differentiating of two prominent personalities:
Is it Milton Mallawarachchi?  or  Peter Keuneman?

The monumental statues of the popular singer Milton Mallawarachchi and the Marxist Party Leader Peter Keuneman have been erected at the General Cemetery, Kanatte close to each other, apparently side by side.
A question has been raised by the Senior Minister A.H.M.Fowzie that the erection of the statue of popular singer, Milton Mallawarachchi close to the statue of Peter Keuneman, a Leader of a Marxist party is a disgrace to him.
In this connection he had drawn the attention in writing, in this regard in protest to the Mayor of Colombo and the Chief Minister of Western Province
