BROTHER AND SISTER’S TRAIN ACCIDENT AT GALLE

Siblings who had been in a relationship not knowing that they are related as brother and sister:

We have heard many stories about relatives who fell in love have had to face objections from the respective parents and are forced to struggle when they want to get married. Some stories show prove the outcome and the struggles faced by such couples.
A couple had committed suicide by jumping in front of the train and the investigations have found out that the cause behind their suicide has been them been related to each other as siblings which had caused major disappointment to their lives.
 They have jumped in front of the train at Bingeikanda, Minuwangoda in Galle on the day before yesterday (7th). It has been found out that they have been born to the same mother but their fathers have been different. The boy had been a 22 year old who had resided at Kudagammana in kandy aat his mother’s sisters house and the girl who had been 20 years old had been a resident of Malkaduwawa in Kurunegala.
The boy’s father has left them after he had separated from the boy’s mother and he had got married again. Thus, the boy had grown up under the care of one of his aunts. His mother had got married and had got two daughters from her second marriage. He had not known much details about his sisters since his relationship with his mother had been very cold. In between, one of his friends had dragged him to his second younger sister’s party which had been organized as a ritual after she had attained her age. Even at that time, he had not known that it had been his own relatives.
After seen the girl, whom he hadn’t got a clue that it would be his own sister, he had fallen in love with her and they have started an affair. They have been in a steady relationship for a while and when the families had got to know this, the girl’s father had been against them.
On the 3rd of August, they have left their homes to discuss about this matter. Later on, they have called the girl’s father trying to get his consent, but the father had been scolding them and he had finally threatened them to call off the relationship. 
When they have got to know that they are siblings born to the same mother, they have decided to commit suicide as living under one roof had become only a dream.
Their dead bodies have been brought to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital. A bottle of poison and a card of pain killing pills had been found at the place where they had committed suicide.
A photograph of another girl had been found in that boy’s pocket and further investigations have revealed that he had been in another relationship before this and that it had ended in a murder. The reports have identified her to be the one who was related to the murders at Kulugammana in which she had been in a relationship with an army soldier and he had committed suicide after poisoning her and her family.

Further investigations are been carried out on this case.
