PRICES OF CONSUMER GOODS ‘SLASHED’ AT SATHOSA FOR ELECTIONS


Prices of Sugar, Dhal, Tin food, sprats slashed pending elections:

In order to make people utmost happy the Government had decided to slash the existing prices of common consumer items. The co-operative and Internal Trade Minister had quipped that these prices have been brought down on the orders of the President, probably with the upcoming mini elections in mind, to draw the sympathy and attention of the voters. The consumers would derive the maximum benefit from the slashing of prices which would come in to effect at CWE Outlets Island wide with effect from today the 10th.

The revised prices are as follows:

White Sugar; price in markets Rs105/110 CWE revised price Rs 90/50
Sprats: price in market Rs 383/- CWE revised price Rs 299/-
Tin Food: price in markets Rs 205/-CWE revised price Rs 155/-
Samba rice: price in markets Rs 69/- CWE revised price Rs 65/-
White rice: price in markets Rs53/- CWE revised price Rs 45/-
Nadu rice: price in markets Rs 60/-- CWE revised price Rs 55/-
Red Nadu rice: price in markets Rs 55/-CWE revised price Rs 45/-
Dhal: price in markets Rs 140/- CWE revised price Rs119/-
