A football team from a country called “Eelam” had played in an African a football match
A football match named “Tamil Eelam” from a country called “Eelam” had played at Viva World Football match in Africa. The Media reports that they have been warmly welcomed by the Tamil population with applause.
This football match shows that the hopes and dreams of having another nation had not yet been disappeared and this team has been organized to draw the International attention towards them. The Media representation of huge magnitude had proved their clear intentions.
It was reported that there were other countries that are fighting for a separate state. Iraq, Thabu, Randiya, North Cyprus, Kurdistan, Sandybar and West Sahara were among them who had played football and fought hard to win the Nelson Mandela award in football.
There had been 14 representatives who have come from Britain, Canada and Switzerland had been Eelam supporters. They have used the Tamil Eelam flag as the flag of their team and people of Tamil Diaspora had gone to Africa in order to watch the game. They have also displayed their dream ‘Eelam map’ which is almost the size of 2/3rd of Sri Lanka.
