The story of Duminda visiting the Prime Minister Dimu Jayaratna at Mt Elezabeth hospital.
In the very recent past the Prime Minister DMJayaratna had visited Mt Elezabeth hospital, in Singapore for a treatment of his ear. This hospital has now become popular among Sri Lankans after MP Dumnda Silva was taken for treatment.
It was only in last May hen his case was taken up in courts for hearing, the courts were informed that Duminda Silva’s condition as very critical and hence it is difficult to obtain a statement from him. For many it was a huge suspicion whether the two had met at the hospital.
The suspicion was totally cleared when the President asked the Prime Minister whether
“he met any Sri Lankans at the Mt Elizabeth hospital in Singapore.” when the two met at Visumpaya.”
“Duminda Silva was warded there and he came and spoke to me”.
He was told that he is not totally cured and needs to be there for further treatment. The first conclusive evidence about Duminda now has come from the Prime Minister.
The leader of the Opposition, Ranil Wickremasinghe on his way to New Zealand had been on transit at Singapore. He too had visited the Mt Elezabeth hospital to see the Premier. According to the media the question had been asked whether Duminda was in another room? Why didn’t you visit him?.’No we are not allowed or requested to see him.’
