NEW ‘KUNU’ NOTICE ISSUED BY KELANIYA P.C.

A peculiar notice has been printed and pasted regarding the manner of disposal of garbage by the Kelaniya Provincial Council:

Last week residents and shop, hotel and boutique owners coming under the purview of the Kelaniya Provincial Council area have been issued with a notice which had also been printed and pasted at public place to make aware that hereafter the garbage that is to kept for removal have to be dumped in two packs.
One should contain food refuse items, fruit peels, husks, coconut refuse edible food like rice remains etc. While the other pack has to contain polythene items, hardboard and glass items to be disposed. If these are not separated the garbage collectors will not take them. A notice in this regard has in addition to have been distributed have been printed and pasted at public places .A specimen of this notice is appended below:
