Fifteen-year-old girl falls to death from third floor of house

A tragic story is reported from the Grandpass area, where the life of a fifteen-year-old girl, who grew up under the care of her grandmother, away from her parents residing abroad, ended due to a sudden accident.

The girl who tragically lost her life after falling from the third floor of the Grandpass Layards Broadway housing complex is identified as M. Rushdha Radha. According to Grandpass Police, this fatal accident occurred on the evening of the 27th of last month.

According to police investigations, the deceased girl's mother and father are employed in Qatar. In the absence of her parents, she grew up under the care of her grandmother.

At the time of the accident, the girl's grandmother was also at home. Upon hearing a sudden sound and investigating, she saw her granddaughter fallen and injured. Although immediate action was taken to admit the girl to Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children in Borella, police confirm that she passed away a short while later while receiving treatment there.

Grandpass Police have launched an investigation into this unfortunate death and have already recorded statements from the grandmother, who was at home at the time of the incident, as well as from the girl's uncle, who resides in the same house, and several others. The police further state that a magisterial inquiry into the girl's death is also scheduled to be held in the future.
