“We are giving freedom to Fonseka”

President Mahinda Rajapaksa makes his first statement officially:


The President Mahinda Rajapaksa has disclosed to the India’s ‘HINDU’ reporter in Colombo that Sarath Fonseka would be given freedom soon. This statement he had made at the ceremony at the ‘Waters Edge’ during the ‘GOTAS WAR’ book launch.
The famous political critic C.A. Chandraprema who as the author of the book ‘Gotas war’, had emphasized and elaborated in the book that it was Gotabhaya Rajapaksa who planned to win the war and hence all credit of winning the war should go to Gotabhaya. However in certain instances the book is subjected to some criticism.
After the launch of the book several media personnel met the President and posed questions. The ‘Hindu’ reporter had asked the President about the stand of Sarath Fonseka.
