POWER CUT IN CABINET MEETING
There had been a power cut today at the auditorium of the State news broadcasting department. This had not been noticed before by the electricity board and thus after the arrival of Mr.Lakshman Yapa Abeywardana and the necessary arrangements had been done by opening the windows for ventilation in order to conduct the meeting. However power had been restored in 20 minutes.
It was not reported officially whether it was a power cut or not that usually takes place. The minister had been informed that the power failure was due to the repairing of a nearby conference hall.
TWO SUSPECTS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED
Mirihana police have successfully caught two suspects who had attacked the lawyer, Sumith Perera. He was the defendant lawyer of the murderers of the Kotte dual murder case of the monks. Both of them are laymen and they are names were reported to be Sujith Lasantha and Ranga Chinthaka.
