O/L MISTAKE- NOT A FAULT OF THE DEPARTMENT

O/L results mess

Monk who had used a wrong index number had got Tamil results and that had been due to his mistake.

The true result is 2 Simple passes and 5 W’s

A monk at Heerassagala in Kandy who had mistakenly used a wrong index number had obtained results of a Tamil medium student. He was shown in the media as well with his admission card. He had told Sirasa TV that he had surfed on the internet and had seen someone else’s results and that he was so disappointed to see it. Yet the true story is something altogether different.
The monk had used a wrong index number to view his results. Therefore the mistake is not of the Department of Examinations.
Ven.Pagnarathana thera had used the admission number which he had used to sit for the 2010 final Pirivena Examination. Since the Department of Examinations had used some of the Pirivena Examination index numbers for the 2011 O/L examination, the monk had got results of another student without the computer identifying any error.
The real index number of Ven. Pagnarathana thera had been 13425234 and when checked his results had been 2 simple passes and he had failed the other subjects.
His results are as seen below:
