MULTI CAR CRASH AT KOLLUPITIYA

On one way Galle road traffic lane 6 vehicles crash in to one another at Kollupitiya:

This morning along one way traffic lanes at Kolluptiya one vehicle travelling at a fast speed termed as ‘rat race’ in the mornings and abruptly turned into a by lane to travel towards Duplication road. The vehicle that followed had crashed into it and 4 other vehicles that followed too had crashed into each other. There were 5 cars and one van that had got entangled in this terrible mishap. The driver of the 7th vehicle was lucky enough to apply brakes and escape in colliding with the 6th vehicle involved in the mishap.
According to the Traffic Police personnel a mishap of this nature could happen owing to the traffic congestion and the ‘rat race’ which is usual for vehicles travelling to schools and offices.
