A protest for fuel hike at Wennappuwa
Boats are burnt on the centre of the road
Fishermen protested against the fuel hike saying that it is difficult for them to earn a living from their industry due to the fuel hike and they burnt boats to show their disapproval.
The attempt made by the politicians Melroy Fernando, Sanath Nishantha and Susantha Perera was not successful and that the protest was held all day long. Colombo Puttalam main road too was closed due to this.
