SIRIKOTHA FIGHTERS REMANDED

For the Sirikotha uproar 10 including Maithree Srilal have been ordered to be remanded:

Yesterday at the Headquarters of UNP, during the Sirikotha uproar 10 alleged suspects including 10 UNP Provincial Council members have been ordered by the courts to be remanded ordered under special protection until the 2nd of January.
Those who have been proved accused are as follows:
•    Maithree Gunaratna
•    Shiral Laktillaka
•    Ravi Jayewardena
•    Lal Perera
•    Aruna Dahanaike
•    Ariyaratna Saththene
•    Chandima Nayanajith
•    3 Members of the’ Students front’

All of them have been accused of accumulating people and for damaging vehicles. Ranil’s vehicle too had been damaged and in this connection a statement had been recorded by his driver. The Nugegoda Chief Magistrate Rohana Anura Kumara had ordered them to be remanded until the 2nd of January and kept under special protection.
