A Swedish woman dies after jumping from the 'Ocean Breeze' apartment in Negombo.

Police state that a foreign woman has died after falling from a building in the 'Ocean Breeze' apartment complex, located in the Eththukala area of the Negombo tourist zone. This unfortunate incident was reported yesterday (13) around 3:30 PM, and the deceased is a 26-year-old Swedish national.

She was a married woman, and according to the police, she was temporarily residing with her husband on the ninth floor of this apartment complex. Preliminary investigations have revealed that her husband is a businessman. It is reported that at the time of the incident, her husband had gone to the Kurunegala area for business.

Information has been received that this woman was engaged in a conversation with someone on her mobile phone for approximately an hour before falling from the building. Police officers investigating the incident have now taken her mobile phone into custody for further investigations.

The Negombo Municipal Inquirer into Sudden Deaths, who arrived at the scene, conducted an on-site inspection. It was observed that her body had sustained severe injuries due to the fall from the upper floor, and the police have taken steps to place the body in the mortuary of Negombo Hospital for post-mortem examination and further investigations.
