RATWATTE & 80 MILLION

I have accumulated 80 Million by toiling hard
A prolonged confession,  by Anuruddha Ratwatte to courts.

To a case filed by the Bribery and Corruption Commission, a former Minister of Defence as to the manner how he accumulated Rs 80 Million,  Anuruddha Ratwatte had to give a long confession to Courts, when he was summoned to Magistrate’s Courts to give evidence. He made a prolonged confession. He said he was appointed to a number of important posts and positions in various Ministries and also in several organisations. The money he accumulated was in a very reasonable manner.
The case was postponed after his prolonged confession. For the next hearing day the Magistrate requested him to bring along his two sons Lohan and Mahen Ratwatte to courts to record statements and for questioning.
When this case was taken up earlier due to some sort of influence he was proved not guilty and was freed. However the case was once again called up by the Bribery and Corruption Commission following to a request made by the appeal courts after permission was sought to take up the case over again.
Anuruddha Ratwatte on a previous occasion was a suspect in the Udathalavinna 10 person murder case, but was not proved guilty.
