Sri Lankan dogs for SAARC summit

It is reliably learnt that for next week’s scheduled SAARC summit to be held in the Republic of Maldives our sniffer dogs are to be deployed for overall security. The sniffer dogs were flown to ‘ADDU’ city in the Republic of Maldives in preparation for the security arrangements. The sniffer Sri Lanka dogs are supposed to give security during the duration of the SAARC summit from 10th to the 11th of this month to be held at the ‘ADDU’ and ‘FUWANMALA’ cities in the Republic of Maldives.
Colonel Mohamed Siyada of the Special Task commandos Unit had quipped that these sniffer dogs would be utilized for the security of VIP’s and would also monitor the security of the streets. It is reliably reported that 6 groups along with sniffer dogs are already in the Republic of Maldives in preparation of the security arrangements.
In Sri Lanka the sniffer dogs were deployed at the Colombo Port, Customs and the Airport.
