DUMINDA NOT A SUSPECT-HULUGALLE

For Bharatha’s killing Duminda is not a suspect

The whole of last week the talk was that Duminda Siva was responsible for Bharatha’s shooting.During a discussion with the BBC’s ‘Sandeshaya’ programme, the Head of the Media Unit of the Defence Ministry, says a completely a different story. What he says is that Duminda Silva is not a suspect for the killing. What he is indirectly saying that once Duminda Silva recovers he would not be taken into custody. According to Bharatha’s driver’s evidence Duminda Silva assaulted Bharatha and ordered to shoot. The BBC had questioned: The answer given by Lakshman Hulugalle was: “Duminda Silva at present is a patient. There is no evidence to say that he killed Bharatha. His personal body guards were at the scene of the incident. Anyhow none of his body guards are in custody.”
The BBC had questioned “then who are those arrested. In reply Hulugalle had said they are from the underworld. They had obtained their visas to go to India prior to this incident. Then this may have been pre planned the BBC had replied”
