Prior to President’s visit to Australia
The LTTE staunch supporters have planned for a Police trap.
Next week it is scheduled to have a conference of leaders of Commonwealth countries in Australia. The President, Mahinda Rajapaksa is expected to attend this conference. It is learnt reliably that the LTTE supporters have arranged a Police trap for our President. It is an investigation into war crimes committed by Sri Lankan forces towards the latter stages of the war
The investigations into war crimes committed by Sri Lanka have been influenced by the staunch supporters to the Australian Federal Police. This has been planned to be done by the ‘International Jurists Commission’ also known as the “ICJ”.
It is learnt from foreign reports that this matter had been made public via the Australian Television channel ABC via its “seven thirty” (7.30) where facts have been disclosed. For Police investigations they have planned to summon as witnesses, Sri Lanka’s ex Ambassador former Air Force Commander Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe, Dr Palitha Kohona and the President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa to probe on war crimes.
The Police investigations have already commenced. The Commissioner of Australian Federal Police Tony Negus has already prepared a report to contain nearly 500 pages which is scheduled to be released by this Friday.
The displaced LTTE cadres have made allegations against the Sri Lankan forces against war crimes to bring disrepute to the President Mahinda Rajapaksa. It is surprising and is a great surprise why the Australian Government has accepted these allegations.
