Sirasa is taking revenge from me for not offering a seat to Maharaja from the National list during the last General Election.
The protest will not be allowed
Ranil is all fired up
The reason why ’Sirasa’ is taking revenge from me is as I did not offer a seat in the Parliament from the National list to the Chairman of the Maharaja Organisation at the last General Election. This was disclosed publicly for the first time by the Leader of Opposition Ranil Wickremasinghe. He also added that he will not allow the protest proposed to be held tomorrow at Sirikotha.
At a Media conference held today by the UNP, Ranil disclosed “I have learnt the manner how to protect the UNP from former President J.R.Jayewardena. During the last General Election, the Chairman of the Maharaja Organisation Raja Mahendra had asked him for 2 seats from the National list at the last General Election. As I did not accede to his request he is now attacking me..UNP is a party that could not be bought for money. Tomorrow there will be no protest at Sirikotha. If anyone tries to break the rules of the constitution, the Central Committee of the UNP will take appropriate disciplinary action”.
