Discrepancy in Advanced Level Accounts Paper
The Advanced level examination begun last week and is now in progress. The paper in Accounting was sat by the students in the advanced level last week. This paper was to be prepared to coincide with the new syllabus released to all schools and the students had prepared accordingly.
However in complete contrast to the specimen question paper sent to all schools prior to the exam, the paper had consisted of questions not in accordance of the specimen already sent. As it did not abide by the specimen, students have had to face a lot of discomfort when answering the question paper. The Secretary of the Sri Lanka’s Teachers Association Mahinda Jayasinghe also had sent his views to the media.
However the Commissioner of Examinations Anura Edirisinghe had added that students should be equipped to answer any question paper and should have been prepared to answer. If there is any truth in their objection he is prepared to conduct an investigation.
