PRESIDENT PRAISES SANGAKKARA’S LORDS SPEECH

Sangakkara made a very good speech. I Appreciate it -President

There was a lot speculation after the former Sri Lankan Skipper,Kumar Sangakkara made the Lords lecture. During his speech he boldly exposed the SLC's  peculiar administration, with regard to corruption and other irregularities. This speech was immediately subjected, to much criticism. The Minister of Sports wanted to have an immediate inquiry. Later he added that there would not be any disciplinary charges. Some even said he would be punished in the same manner as Sarath Fonseka.
The editor of the famous Indian Newspaper N.Ram yesterday has had a friendly discussion with the President, and in particular to obtain his views about this speech.”It was a very good speech...I appreciate it. Although many agree or not he has the right to expose the correct stand of our cricketing structure etc. Some have forgotten about the speech he made. Sangakkara said although LTTE was a terrorist organisation, they fought a battle as a disguised group. Sri Lanka treats Muslims, Burghers alike.....”
