'TATA NANO’ LOWEST PRICED VEHICLE MANUFACTURED IN INDIA NOW IN SRI LANKA

THE WORLDS LOWEST PRICED VEHICLE ‘TATA NANO’ IN NOW MARKETED IN SRI LANKA
The car manufactured in India ’TATA NANO’ is priced at Rs one Lakh Indian Rupees. It is termed as the “PEOPLES VEHICLE”. We had only heard about this’ Tata Nano’ vehicle only recently but until recently it was not marketed in Sri Lanka. However the first consignment of 500 vehicles, have been imported by the ‘DIMO’ company.
The current price of this vehicle in India is Indian Rupees 135,000/-However with the increase of freight, Insurance and taxes, the DIMO company has priced a vehicle at Rs 925,000/- (Rs Nine Hundred and twenty Five thousand only). Although it is the lowest priced vehicle in the world it is a pity that the Sri Lankans cannot buy it for a lesser amount owing to the above constraints.
